First Church of Christ, Congregational

22nd Annual Quilt & Needle Arts Show

October 7th & 8th, 2017

The quilt group of the First Church of Christ, Congregational is proud to host the 22nd Annual Quilt & Needle Arts Show in our beautiful church located in East Haddam, Connecticut.

The show is held in America’s oldest remaining Federal Meeting House; which was designed by architect Lavius Filmore and built in 1794.

Our first show was held in 1996.  A queen size quilt has been raffled every  year.  Over the years our exhibits have included quilts made by quilters as young as 6 years old to quilts made by members of the Studio Arts Quilts Association.

Over the years we have had special exhibits by Sisters in Stitches, Joined by the Cloth, quilts done by the Gees Bend Quilters, Quilts of Valor, Connecticut Loving Squares Quilts and Fairfield Processing.

This year’s show will have one of a kind pieces designed and made by

Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill of Whole Circle Studio.  She lives in New Haven and is part of

New Modern Quilt Guild.
